Description / Abstract: One of the rst items that need to be accomplished by the project manager or project management team is to dene the scope of the project. Everything that is in scope needs to be dened. This includes market(s) to be served, applications and/or platforms to be supported, congurations to be developed, and future growth areas. It is equally important to dene the items that are out of scope for the project. Items in this list may echo the “in scope” item topics, but clearly dene which features are not going to be considered in the project. This clearly denes the scope of work so there is no confusion between the development team and management
